Time code

Top  Previous  Next

Time code is always displayed in the format HH:MM:SS:FF (Hours:Minutes:Seconds:Frames)

Hours:

Between 00 and 23

Minutes:

Between 00 and 59

Seconds:

Between 00 and 59

Frames:

Between 00 and 29 (NTSC), or between 00 and 23 - sometimes 24 (PAL)

In video cache mode the time code is generated (except for SMPTE or EDLV code, which is read). When a clip is recorded or converted another file named [recordingname].txt is created for information about frames, time code, and scene changes. The user must click the "generate" button of the adjust video time code window to generate the time code. If a video clip has no matching *.txt file, it will be created and time code generated automatically.
